On September 16, 2022, when President Xi Jinping attended the 22nd meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), he proposed "establishing a China-SCO Big Data Cooperation Center to build a new engine for common development". Under the guidance of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), relying on its profound accumulation in the field of digital technology, has been steadily pushing forward the key tasks of the China-Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Big Data Cooperation Centre (hereinafter referred to as the "Cooperation Centre").
In order to promote cooperation in the field of digital technology among Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) members and establish a multilateral and open cooperation ecology，"China-SCO Digital Technology Cooperation and Development Forum" (hereinafter referred to as the Forum), which is organized by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, jointly hosted by China Academy of Information and Communications Technology and Karamay Municipal People's Government, will be held from May 23 to 24 in Karamay, Xinjiang.
The Development Forum will focus on the various key tasks of the Cooperation Centre and various aspects such as Digital Economy Development、Big Data Application 、Digital Low-Carbon、Digital Culture 、Digital Infrastructure、Leading Role of Digital Technology, to further promote the implementation of cooperation between China and SCO countries in the areas of Infrastructure Construction, Application Innovation, Joint Research, Industrial Collaboration and Skills Training in the field of digital technology, and to create a new platform for international exchange and cooperation between China and SCO countries.
