Forum Overview

The 2026 China-Shanghai Cooperation Organization Digital Technology Cooperation and Development Forum will be held in June at the Karamay Convention and Exhibition Center.

This year's forum will adopt a streamlined "1+2+5" structure, consisting of "one opening ceremony and main forum, two supporting events, and five thematic forums." It will create a full-chain closed loop of "discussion, training, exhibition, matchmaking, and implementation," with a focus on building synergy through "discussion to build consensus, training to develop talent, and matchmaking to drive implementation," contributing to a closer SCO community with a shared future.

Forum Theme

The theme of this forum is "Digital Empowerment and Smart Connectivity for the SCO: Building a New Ecosystem for Cross-Border Digital Cooperation."

The forum aims to build a multidimensional, multi-level, and diversified platform for dialogue and open cooperation among governments, enterprises, research institutions, and international organizations at home and abroad, while deepening capacity building, joint research, talent exchange, and international cooperation in digital technology and digital empowerment.
